A new creative life

I have discovered a new passion for drawing and painting and will occasionally document my progress through this blog.
I am inspired by nature and colour and am delighted with the luminous quality of water colour paint.
So, it is back to the beginning. Starting once again with a new medium and slowly learning its characteristics, its joys and difficulties. There will be many mistakes along the way but that is how we learn.

Beautiful France - Part 3:Côtes du Rhône villages

Some of the most beautiful villages we saw in France were located in the Côtes du Rhône region. Picture-perfect villages, colourful shutters, beautiful gardens, vineyards and delicious wines, all combined with glorious spring weather - who could ask for more!

Beautiful France - Part 2: Les Gorges du Verdon

The Gorges du Verdon, in south-eastern France, is a river canyon that is considered to be one of Europe's most beautiful. It is about 25 kilometres long and up to 700 metres deep. The canyon is located over the municipalities of Castellane and Moustiers Sainte Marie. A road crosses through the canyon and allows you to discover the unforgettable and majestic landscape.

We were lucky to see several vultures putting on a wonderful aerial display.

The viewing areas provide magnificent vistas and great photo opportunities.

Beautiful France - Part 1: The Luberon and surrounds

Today some photos from our 2015 trip to France - one of my favourite places on earth.

I will start with a quote from the Lonely Planet guide as I couldn't say it better:
"Scenic landscapes, azure seas, world-class modern art, wonderful food and incredible historical heritage.... " Lonely Planet.

The renaissance of my blog - dedicated to beauty.

Until, and if, I return to beadmaking, I have decided to revive my blog and dedicate it to beauty. Here I will post pictures of beautiful places, objects, works of art and craft - places and things I love.
I will begin with the work of a wonderful French artist :
Claire Basler.
